Indulge in a chic French meal in Ottawa
Ottawa Travel Guide | Mittwoch, den 21. September 2011 um 17:04 Uhr
Due to Ottawa’s passionate connection with all things French, finding an elegant and luxurious dining experience that draws from the styles and influences of France should not be difficult. This city is the home of many talented chefs that dish up some wonderfully classic meals, or spice up old favorites to make new infusions that will surely be memorable on a guests’ travel to Canada.
Although Le Baccara is inside the casino on Lake Leamy, this does not detract from its graceful presentations of wonderful French cuisine, which patrons can enjoy while overlooking the striking lake vistas, reports Fodor’s. Those who dine at this establishment can choose from a fixed eight-course menu, or order a la carte from many tasty items, including a rack of caribou covered in juniper berries and nuts.
A great way to sample new French food is to book a table at the restaurant on site at the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School. According to the organization’s website, their selections are ever-changing to ensure the ingredients are always in season and at their freshest. Currently, the menu includes a beef tartare with apple and mustard, or Cornish hen with lemongrass and wild mushrooms.
