5 Ways to get your Kids into the Holiday Spirit!
Share the whimsy of the holidays with these family-friendly activities this December in Ottawa.
Join John Cundell and his family for free horse drawn carriage rides through the ByWard Market neighbourhood every Saturday and Sunday before Christmas from 1pm – 4pm.
Tired of your kids sneaking around the house, looking for their presents? Send them to Spy Camp! This holiday season, the Diefenbunker is offering a mini version of their popular Spy Camp on January 2 and 3, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Have you ever wondered how Santa gets around the whole world in just one night? Just a short drive southeast of Ottawa, come experience Stanley’s Christmas Village as your whimsical guide whisks you away on a magical horse-drawn ride through the forest to an enchanted village. Each family will have a chance to meet with the Chief Elf Officer who will personally see to it that your letters to Santa get to the big man himself! Everyone will leave with a special something and have a chance to warm up with a hot cup of cocoa upon return.
Explore traditions from days gone by in an enchanted setting at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum in the east end of Ottawa! Visitors will experience Christmas traditions of the 1930s with French Canadian storytelling, Christmas carols, holiday cuisine, gingerbread decorating, festive crafts and a visit with Santa Claus. Why not start your own tradition with a visit to the museum - with so much activity you’re sure to have a great time!
Part oral history, part concert, and part screening of the Christmas classic with musical accompaniment provided by the Jerry Granelli Trio: on December 7 this will be an unforgettable Christmas concert at the Ottawa Little Theatre that the whole family will enjoy!
