I had the pleasure of dining at Le Cordon Bleu Bistro @ Signatures yesterday. Delicious tuna carpaccio as an appetizer, some red snapper as a main and a vanilla pudding as dessert. All for just $25 — actually $32 because we indulged in a Beaujolais nouveau.
Not bad at all for a stellar meal in beautiful bistro surroundings, with an attentive staff.
This is Le Cordon Bleu’s new incarnation of the former Signatures restaurant. Signatures has relaunched as this bistro-style offering, with lunch on offer from Tuesday through Friday and à la carte dinners on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
You can see the lunch menus in advance on their website as the senior-level students help prepare them as part of their ongoing courseload at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts School. As famous graduate Julia Child would say, “Bon appétit!”
