Lights, camera, action! Two new TV series set and filmed in Ottawa
Terry Fallis’ best-selling comedic novel Best Laid Plans has been made into a 10-episode series for CBC TV launching in early January 2014. Following the exploits of the campaign manager of an unwinnable candidate during a federal election, viewers are thrust into the nooks and crannies of political Ottawa.
Meanwhile, francophone viewers will discover a quirkier side of Ottawa in the romantic comedy Toi et moi malgré tout…, to air on Radio Canada TV sometime in 2014. The show follows a 42-year-old divorced Franco-ontarian woman who falls in love and quickly marries a Québécois guy in his mid-20s.
