Museum round-up What’s shakin’ in Ottawa’s museums?

Museum round-up

Nature Nocturne is a brilliant new promotion at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Once each month, on a Friday night, the museum is transformed into a nightclub, with music, dancing, food & drink, and interactive exhibits. Next dates are January 24, February 28, March 28, April 25, May 23.

Also at the museum, you have until May 11, 2014 to check out the colourful and fascinating Frogs—A Chorus of Colours exhibit.

Bytown Museum: until February 17, 2014: Mexico Fantastico shows the beauty of Mexican culture and the significance of the relationship between Canada and Mexico. From April 9, 2014 to January 18, 2015, you can catch Ottawa Answers the Call: The Capital and the Great War to learn more about the local response to World War I.

National Gallery of Canada: until February 17, 2014: Artists, Architects and Artisans: Canadian Art 1890-1918 has been winning rave reviews for its look at a very fruitful time in Canada’s history. Stay tuned for a great photo exhibit this spring and summer, though: The Great War: The Persuasive Power of Photography runs June 6-September 1, 2014.
