Ottawa Tourism Travel Writing Award
Congratulations to Amanda Williams, the 2013 recipient of the Ottawa Tourism Travel Writing Award for her article called “My Night in Jail”, published in January 2012 on her travel blog, A Dangerous Business.
For excellence in travel writing 2013:
Ottawa Tourism is offering a $500 CDN prize for outstanding travel writing featuring Canada’s Capital Region. Eligible entries include items in English or in French that have appeared in magazines, newspapers, or online media in 2013 that highlight Ottawa as a travel destination.
Electronic entries are preferred (PDFs or a link to an online site). E-mail attachments should not exceed 5 MB. Clearly photocopied entries are also acceptable.
Each entry must include the name, address, e-mail address and telephone number of the entrant; as well as the name of the publication and the date the item was published. Entries must have appeared in print or online between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013.
There is no fee to enter, nor a limit on the number of articles an individual may submit (though each entry must be submitted separately).
The submissions must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 7, 2014.
