Ottawa Festivals and Events

Ottawa is a city of celebration, offering visitors a year-round calendar of festivals and special events.

It all kicks off with Winterlude, North America’s greatest winter festival the first three weekends of February.
May’s Canadian Tulip Festival celebrates the return of warm weather as millions of tulips bloom in beds across the Capital.
The summer months reverberate with the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest and the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival.
July 1 is Canada Day – as the Capital hosts the country’s biggest annual birthday bash on Parliament Hill and throughout downtown.
The first weekend in August, the Rideau Canal Festival celebrates the Capital’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the end of August offers a midway, themed pavilions, and live concerts at the SuperEx.
In December, millions of bulbs are alight during the Christmas Lights Across Canada.
