Since Canada's capital city is such a vibrant hub of culture and entertainment, big name acts often stop there on nationwide tours, much to the delight of locals and tourists alike. For this reason, if travellers are taking tours of Ottawa on their holiday this spring, they can also make plans to attend a concert at the CE Centre.
Noted rapper and record producer Pitbull will be performing on March 27th for his PlanetPit World Tour. Accompanied by fellow hip-hop artist Flo Rida, the duo will grace the stage at the CE centre for one night only, bringing their talents and musical prowess to an audience of thousands who are ready to dance and enjoy the show.
Born Armando Christian Perez, Pitbull has been on the music scene for more than a decade, pairing up with other big-name performers like Lil John, the Ying Yang Twins and Pretty Ricky. Some of his hit singles over the years include "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and "Ay Chico." He is the co-founder of Bad Boy Latino records, where he collaborates with Sean "Diddy" Combs to help sign new talent from Cuban, South American and Central American nations.
His latest album, titled PlanetPit, features an array of guests appearances, such as Marc Anthony, Kelly Rowland and Sean Paul. The record has received positive reviews from Entertainment Weekly and other noted publications, earning it a reputation as one of the best party and dance albums of last year, which may make for a thrilling and over-the-top live concert.
Sharing the stage with the star, Flo Rida is also a veteran of the hip-hop scene who has released a few hit singles of his own. In 2008, the song "Low" featuring rapper T-Pain was on the American charts for 10 weeks, followed by other successful tunes like "Right Round" and "In the Ayer."
Travellers who will be in town and want to check out this exciting concert can grab tickets though Live Nation or find out more information on the artists' websites. Not only will Pitbull and Flo Rida be in the city, but they will be making stops at other Canadian locales, such as Toronto, Edmonton and Montreal. If guests to Ottawa are fans of Latin beats and Top 40 hip-hop, this show should not be missed while on holiday.
