Across the river from Canada's capital city is Gatineau, a charming town full of culinary delights, cultural centres and superb art. Travellers taking tours of Ottawa can peruse some of the area's great art venues on their visit, including the Galerie Montcalm. Since 1980, this gallery has been a favourite among locals and tourists alike, thanks to its unique exhibits that often display the talents of local artists.
Through May and mid-June, guests can see the eerie and interesting paintings of Dominik Sokolowski. His works have been featured in venues throughout the area and frequently depict box-like figures and muted colors on large canvases.
