Even though National Capital Craft Beer Week is coming to a close in the next few days, that doesn't mean people who travel through Canada have missed their opportunity to sample the Great White North's crisp and refreshing libations. Adam Rader, the head brewer at Mill Street Brew Pub, recently spoke with Ottawa Life Magazine and explained why craft beer has become so popular in the capital city in recent years.
"We're getting to the generations now where people want to experience local, something with more flavour and something that's different than their father's and grandfather's beer," Rader told the news source. "The younger generation, for the most part, is a little bit against big corporations so they're definitely going to go toward the smaller and more creative brands."
With menu items like angus burgers and chicken pot pie, all of which go perfectly with a pint of ale, Mill Street Brewery is a great place to bring friends and family looking to catch up. Diners can enjoy a beer with every course, including after-dinner palate cleansers like the Balzac's coffee porter, which boasts a rich and robust flavour.
