Residents and people who travel to Ontario are getting the word out about Ottawa's latest food truck sensation: Trailer Pork Boys. Featuring slow-cooked meats and Canadian comfort foods like poutine, this weeks-old establishment has everyone talking.
Usually located along Carling Avenue, just across the street from the Westgate Shopping Centre, the Trailer Pork Boys food truck fills the air with the aromatic fragrance of juicy meat and deep-fried delights. While many meat-loving business workers tend to flock here during lunch breaks, visitors can easily avoid the crowds by eating just before or after the rush, and with a menu featuring sandwiches, pork ribs and schnitzel, what's not to like?
Mobile restaurants are popping up all over Ottawa in recent years, thanks to a push for more experimental and affordable eateries. Trailer Pork Boys is no exception, offering platters of pulled pork, slaw and hand-cut fries for a measly $11. If diners don't want the entire combo meal, they can just as easily order a Cuban sandwich, which is stuffed to the brim with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and topped with dijon roasted garlic aioli. It's so good that it'll make visitors want to "oink" for more.
