Visitors who travel through Canada to get to know the art scene in the Great White North should make their way to the capital, Ottawa, on October 14 for A CURIOUS Craft Show. Highlighting work by more than 30 talented local artists from Ottawa and surrounding cities, the event is sure to make any craft enthusiast's holiday abroad more fulfilling.
Two women, Fiona and Michelle, started CURIOUS as an art collective based in Ottawa, which would showcase the city's underground craft scene and bring to light dozens of creators whose talent is bursting at the seams. Over the years, the women have hosted craft shows like CURIOUS, and will soon open their first permanent store in October.
During this year's craft fair, guests staying in Ottawa accommodations can expect to not only make some sweet purchases of locally made goods, but may also want to come prepared with craft materials of their own for the exciting swapping event.
