Couples who are considering whether or not they should plan a romantic trip away should do so. Not only will it be something fun for a couple to do, but it can also benefit the relationship. According to a new survey issued by the U.S. Travel Association, couples who report that they travel together at least once a year are in much happier relationships than their counterparts who do not travel. Those who are still thinking about what to do this Valentine's Day may want to book a trip.
Those looking for a beautiful place to go should consider travelling to Ottawa. Canada's capital has a great deal to offer between its beautiful landscape and rich history. Here are four must-see attractions that are perfect for a romantic trip:
Rideau Canal. The Rideau Canal is certainly worth talking about. This expansive scenic waterway is a National Historic Site of Canada and it turns into the largest skating rink in the world in the winter, at 7.8km (4.8 miles long). In the summer, it is a beautiful place to rent bicycles or simply go for a walk alongside it.
Fairmont Château Laurier. This elegant and exquisite hotel mixes breathtaking architecture with sophistication.
