The fall foliage in and around Ottawa is an incredible sight to see for travellers who are enjoying tours of Canada. There are several areas that boast excellent places for viewings of this phenomenon, which welcome tourists to explore the natural beauty of the nation's capital.
At the end of September and throughout October are the best times to see the changing of the seasons, states the National Capital Commission website. In Gatineau Park, there will be several special events occurring during its annual "Fall Rhapsody" celebration, which honours all things outdoors.
There are seemingly countless trails for guests to explore while hiking and biking through the dense forests. During the event, guided tours will be made available to tourists, as will afternoon musical performances by local violin, guitar and cello musicians.
For a smaller space to enjoy the colorful leaves, travellers can head right downtown to Dundonald Park. According to Ottawagraphy, this pretty attraction is local and comfortable, offering shady trees and sitting areas for visitors. Seeing a small park like this may give guests an authentic look into home-town life of the Ottawa locals.
