Although there are countless museums throughout Canada, the city of Ottawa hosts the one that regularly draws the most annual visits. Something this spectacular should not be missed while on holiday in this great city. Known as the Canadian Museum of Civilization, this attraction has a wide array of exhibits and special events that will surely delight and fascinate guests of all ages.
Recently, the museum acquired a beautiful piece to add to its extensive collection of local art. According to The Montreal Gazette, museum officials have purchased a 175-year-old painting of the Arctic landscape, created by explorer Sir George Back. Travellers who wish to see this painting should check in with the museum, which plans to display the piece this fall.
Another interesting exhibit to experience while at the museum this fall is Paro, the robotic baby seal that has been used in Japan for rehabilitation and comfort purposes, states the museum's website. Guests are encouraged to pet the seal and see its amazing reactions to its surroundings.
These demonstrations and more are great reasons to visit the Canadian Museum of Civilization while on an exciting holiday in Ottawa.
