Children often do not need to see a complicated play to be entranced by theatrical delights on stage. If travellers are taking tours of Ottawa and want to bring the little ones to a show in town, heading to the Théâtre la catapulte can be an adventure for the whole family.
This April, the venue will put on a show called Mouving, which is about three homeless clowns with vivid imaginations that take them on a thrilling adventure while they wait for a bus in the city.
As this theatre's performances are primarily French, a play like Mouving is ideal for both English and French speakers to enjoy together. The actors and actresses use as few words as possible to tell an amazing and imaginative story.
The show runs through the end of April and tickets can be purchased on the venue's website. Some shows will have English surtitles if travellers do not want to miss any of the action. Paired with visits to some of the city's other great attractions, children will have a blast on their holiday to Canada's capital city.
