Travellers who want to shake things up on their tours of Ottawa can head to an interesting show at the Dominion Chalmers United Church on June 13. Henry Rollins, an intelligent and controversial speaker, will be offering his words of wisdom and insight on Canada's capital for one night only.
Rollins started his career as a frontman for American punk band Black Flag. Over the years, he has drifted away from hardcore music and focused more on humanitarian subjects. He is an outspoken advocate for solving world hunger, equality for the LGBT community and ending war, as he has gone overseas to entertain troops abroad.
Currently, Rollins is focusing on his record label, which produces spoken word albums and audio books. At his show in Ottawa, guests can hear about his journey from punk rocker to world advocate and how his path has shaped what he stands for today. More information about this event can be found on the church's website.
