Get down at the O-Town Hoedown
Travellers with a fervor for all things rock and country may want to spend a few days in Ottawa for the O-Town Hoedown, the Canadian capital's one-stop shop for all things indie-alt-whatever country. Hosted by an all-star crew of volunteers and independent artists, the concert series features Canadian and international musicians like The Bank Robbers Union, Brian Simms and Slo' Tom and the Handsome Devils.
Staying at one of the many fantastic Ottawa hotels this fall? Guests won't want to miss catching these local stars as they grace the stage at two separate venues across the city.
With a focus on music instead of profits, this event has attracted true fans to the city for years, and on September 28-29 and October 5-6, Ottawa visitors will have the chance to catch underground sensations that have made a name for themselves in The Great White North. For the last night of the event, visitors can head to The Rainbow Bistro, where Steve Stacey and the Stump Splitters will be playing country music the way it was meant to be heard.
