Get folky with Jason Collett this October
Toronto native Jason Collett has swiftly risen among the rankings of Canadian folk stars. Getting his start more than a decade ago with the band Broken Social Scene, Collett has branched off to play his blues and folk tunes around the world, and on October 6, his fans can travel to Canada and catch him at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield, Québec – just a short drive north of Ottawa.
His latest album, "Rat a Tat Tat," has won much acclaim among the most hard-to-please music critics, including Pitchfork Media.
"Collett delivers a solid album that moves with confidence between breezy pop-rock and more pensive, artier endeavors," reads the review.
Whether visitors love folk or not, the Black Sheep Inn is one of the best venues in the Ottawa region, providing concert-goers with a great vibe and full bar menu. Before the show, attendees can grab a bite to eat at Bistro Rutherford, a family owned restaurant located in the same building as the inn. After munching on comfort foods like burgers and sweet potato fries, Collett fans will undoubtedly be ready for a fun-filled evening.
