Those who happen to be travelling to Ottawa this week may want to check out Ottawa Valley musician Bob Haughian, as he is set to perform during a benefit concert for a local hospital this upcoming weekend. Not only will this be a great event to check out live music at, but proceeds from it will go toward a good cause.
Haughian teamed up with the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital Foundation to host a fun night full of live music and fundraising this January 12 benefiting the Carleton Place Hospital. The event will take place at the Texas Worth Smokehouse in Carleton Place.
Haughian and his band of other Ottawa-based musicians have been gaining a loyal fan following locally that continues to spread. The singer/songwriter is known for his folk/celtic music. He plays the banjo and his voice with a slight twang sounds unique all on its own. This winning combination touches on a number of different musical genres and will certainly be keeping those at the benefit dancing the night away.
