What is an Attractions Passport?
Ottawa Tourism hosts many clients annually (tour operators, media and convention planners) on familiarization tours (fam tours). Ottawa Tourism staff are not always able to accompany the clients for their tour and exploration of Ottawa, which is why the Passport was created. This tool allows clients an opportunity to explore the region independently and see a variety of attractions and services on their own time. This will be the 8th version of the Passport.

How does it work?
Ottawa Tourism issues an Attractions Passport to Travel Trade, Convention or Media clients visiting Ottawa. Client names and relevant dates are written on the front page which will also be authorized by an Ottawa Tourism staff person. Clients show the passport and present a business card to each attraction for complimentary admission for two. Front line staff are requested to forward the business cards to the appropriate departments within their own organization so records may be kept. The Passport will not be turned into the facilities, as the client will need the Passport for access to other attractions and will use it for reference upon returning to their office. Clients are requested to call the attraction prior to arrival to make a reservation or confirm availability. As we cannot guarantee clients will follow this procedure, we hope that your staff will be flexible in providing the best service possible. Occasionally clients may be traveling with family and/or a guest. The Passport may include one guest.

On occasion, one or more members may choose to opt out or join the program, in which case, Ottawa Tourism staff will now be able to revise or add members to the electronically stored master.
