Kenton Leier, Executive Chef

Kenton Leier was born and raised in Saskatoon where he attended Culinary College and began his apprenticeship. He arrived in Ottawa in 1992, filling posts at the Fairmont Château Laurier and the Ottawa Marriott's Merlot Rooftop Grill prior to becoming Executive Chef at the Delta Hotel in 2004. He is proud to be a Canadian born and trained chef, is a strong supporter of the Canadian culinary scene and has competed successfully both nationally and internationally. He describes his philosophy as “using the best possible local ingredients when possible, to offer unforgettable dining.”
The Capital Dining Room is a 40-seat luxury restaurant which has earned the '4 Diamond' designation and has been awarded 'Best Hotel Dining' by Ottawa City Magazine. The atmosphere is elegant and the menu sophisticated.
