Prescott and Russell Recreational Trail

All aboard your bikes!  Once the path a railway, the Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail is today a 72 km rural cycling experience that is truly unique.  The trail passes through gently rolling countryside, past farms and through historic villages where you can park, picnic, and access the trail.  These include Vankleek Hill, Plantagenet, Bourget, St. Eugène and Hammond.  Most of the trail is soft stone dust, with sections near some towns paved and perfect for rollerblading.  Some say cycling the trail is reminiscent of cycling tours in the Provence region of France.  Everyone agrees it’s a great way to spend a day of quiet cycling away from the noises and distractions of traffic.
