St-Albert Cheese

Just say ‘cheese please!” St-Albert Cheese Co-operative has been making and selling distinctive cheddars and other cheeses since 1894. Five generations later, the operation is owned by 50 local producers and its friendly cow logo and fleet of delivery trucks are familiar sites in grocery stores and on roads throughout Eastern Ontario. Over the past decade, St-Albert products have won and been finalists in numerous cheese competitions in Canada and abroad. The original facility was destroyed by fire in 2013. But in 2014, it emerged from its ashes, stronger than ever, with modern facilities, a new store and restaurant, and increased production capacity. It is also home to the annual summer Curd Festival, attracting up to 50,000 visitors annually to St-Albert for five days of shows and festivities.
