Are you on the front line of your hotel, attraction, restaurant, or driving service – someone who interacts regularly with the visiting public in Canada’s capital? This training is for you! At the end of the training process, you’ll have earned a certificate bearing your name, certifying that you have successfully completed Ottawa Tourism’s Customer Service Training modules. Add the certificate to your CV, your office or front desk, your taxi credentials, or the hospitality area of your restaurant to show customers that you care about great customer service.
What to expect
The training consists of 2 modules:
- I Know #MyOttawa is dedicated to destination knowledge. It’s meant to inform you about Ottawa’s special places, things to do, tourism sites, and special events. Promoting these tourism products and destination tips to your customers ensures they receive the best service possible.
- I Host #MyOttawa is dedicated to customer service excellence. It offers principles of excellence in customer service and advice on how to exceed customer expectations. Happy visitors will speak highly of your business and of Ottawa as a destination. They will also have a higher likelihood of returning to Ottawa in the future, and of recommending it to their friends and relatives.
This training tool is offered free of charge to Ottawa-area businesses. Together, let’s work to make Ottawa the most customer service-oriented destination, building on our reputation as a friendly, caring city.
