At the BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival, international teams race beautifully decorated dragon boats on the world’s largest skating rink in downtown Ottawa. Cheer on participants as they push the long boats outfitted with special blades on the frozen Dows Lake portion of the Rideau Canal Skateway. This free, bucket-list-worthy festival typically also includes indoor performances by Canadian musicians.
Each year during Winterlude, the world's largest ice dragon boat racing event attracts participants and spectators on the Rideau Canal Skateway.
