One of the best ways to explore Ottawa–Gatineau is by bike, through an extensive multi-use pathway network. Follow one of our suggested cycling routes to discover some of the National Capital Region’s most beautiful scenery. From late May to early September (weather permitting), hit the parkways during NCC Weekend Bikedays, and enjoy summer weekends cycling on car-free parkways.
Along the way, there are many places to rest, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the view. The NCC Bistros are strategically located along some of the capital pathways, in urban parks and riverfront greenspaces.
