Orange Art Gallery
The Orange Art Gallery has put a unique spin on how they are celebrating Canada’s 150th. Gallery owner, Ingrid Hollander has a fondness for the Canadian Railroad, which is one of the reasons she was drawn to the 120-year-old historic building that now houses the Orange Art Gallery. Almost a year ago she challenged her gallery artists to explore the railroad theme for a special exhibit. Twenty artists accepted the challenge and have created over 50 original works exploring everything from the historical to the modern rails for a five-week exhibit called “The Railway Crossing.” The exhibit runs until August 13th. Come join us on opening night, Thursday, July 6th from 6pm to 10pm. CN Rail representative David Miller, will be the honorary guest speaker with some opening remarks at 7:30pm. Musical entertainment will be in keeping with the theme of the exhibition and be provided by Ottawa’s DJ Auchtorok, The Orange Bar and the new Railroad Deck will be officially opened. This will be a great summer party at Orange Art Gallery!
