Whether you’re looking for a fun night out with friends or a romantic evening out with your partner, the Casino du Lac-Leamy has you covered this holiday season.
Located at about a 10-minute drive north of Ottawa’s downtown core, the nearby Casino du Lac-Leamy is where you’ll find not only state-of-the-art gaming, but fine dining, live entertainment and more.
Why not start your special holiday evening out with a meal at one of the Casino’s fabulous restaurants?
Located at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel, which is connected to the Casino, you’ll find Arôme Seafood and Grill. Along with Arôme’s upscale, salon-like atmosphere, you’ll find several delectable dishes as well as a dessert bar with many lovely options to choose from. But if steak is what you’re after, this is where you want to be.
Just this summer, Arôme added a meat aging chamber to its kitchen. Here, cuts of Alberta beef are aged for 70 days before being served, which optimizes the meat’s taste and tenderness. This will be a steak that you remember.
Intrigued? Try one of Arôme’s holiday season offerings. A special Table d’hôte is being offered from Dec. 5 to 23. Also, on Dec. 25, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2017, you can enjoy a holiday brunch. Additionally, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, you can enjoy a special surf and turf buffet.
If you’d like to take your Casino du Lac-Leamy experience up a notch, opt to try the gourmet Le Baccara. Located in the Casino itself, Le Baccara is a CAA-AAA Five Diamond-rated restaurant. Enjoy a luxurious marble and dark wood dining room as you taste various French-inspired creations from Executive Chef Denis Girard.
And if you’re a wine aficionado, Le Baccara does not disappoint. This restaurant’s wine cellar offers 500 different wine varieties and it is part of a larger 13,000-bottle collection. Over the holiday season, from Dec. 9, 2016 to Jan. 12, 2017, opt to try the Chef’s Grand Tasting Menu, which includes five delectable courses. A wine pairing is also available.
So, you’ve enjoyed a fabulous meal, now what? Head into the gaming area for some fun! On the expansive gaming floor, you’ll find about 64 gaming tables offering classic games such as Blackjack and Roulette as well as about 1,700 slot machines.
Don’t know how to play a game? Don’t worry about it. Just stroll up to one of the Casino’s learning tables. At these designated tables, you will be given fake money and a dealer will teach you how to play. Then, after your learning session, you can try out your own luck at a real table.
Not into gambling? The Casino still has you covered. Head to Bar 7 for some live music and a special holiday-themed cocktail. Until Jan. 10, 2017, enjoy a Lavender Lady or an Atoka, two gin-based drinks.
If you feel like dancing, just around the corner from Bar 7 and up one level, you’ll find Club ALÉA; the Casino du Lac-Leamy’s nightclub. Opened a couple of years ago, ALÉA is one of the Ottawa-Gatineau region’s newer nightclubs. Here, various DJs spin beats as you dance your Friday or Saturday night away. Dress to impress and get ready to have a great time.
If you’d prefer more live entertainment, opt to have dinner and then, see a show at the Théâtre du Casino. Upcoming events during the holiday season include the French-language comedy Ladies Night on Dec. 16 and a Boxing Gala – Beterbiev vs Prieto on Dec. 23. There will also be 2017 Resolutions, a special New Year’s Eve event in the Hilton Lac-Leamy ballroom. 2017 Resolutions will start at 10:00 p.m. Why not welcome 2017 – Canada’s 150th anniversary year – here?
Also, you can bet that the Casino will be covered in sparkling holiday season décor, which provides the perfect backdrop for photos.
