This unique festival, which couples timeless classical music with several other beautiful art forms, takes place at various venues throughout Ottawa. Over 14 days, Music and Beyond hosts dozens of concerts that feature orchestras, wind ensembles, instrumental and vocal recitals as well as smaller groups. These ensembles are partnered with dance, theatre pieces, visual art, poetry, yoga, acrobatics and more. This festival aims to make classical music accessible to all audiences, including students, seniors and families.
The 2018 festival welcomes world renown conductor and composer John Rutter who will present two concerts accompanied by the Thirteen Strings ensemble, other musicians, as well as choirs. Other concerts include Chanticleer, Cuarteto Quiroga, Alliage Quintet and Les Violons du Roy.
