Looking for something fun and different to do on a night out in Ottawa? Consider attending Nature Nocturne; one of the city’s favourite monthly events!
For one night each month, Ottawa’s Canadian Museum of Nature comes alive from 8 p.m. to midnight, transforming itself into a bustling nightclub complete with a DJ and bar service. Dance the night away among the museum’s famous dinosaurs – this is a great photo op – or grab a drink in the beautifully lit Queens’ Lantern. And each Nature Nocturne offers a different theme. This is a great event to attend as a couple or as a group of friends. Either way, this is an Ottawa event you won’t want to miss!
We just recommend that you purchase your Nature Nocturne tickets in advance, as this event tends to sell out quickly. Check out this list of dates and upcoming themes for the 2016-2017 season:
-Sept. 30, 2016: Rock n’ Roll
-Oct. 28, 2016: Reptiles – Beautiful and Deadly
Put on a reptile-themed costume and get ready to dance the night away! This Nature Nocturne event is inspired by the museum’s new, special Reptiles exhibit, which runs from Oct. 7 to April 8, 2017.
-Nov. 25, 2016: Glow
Get ready for a glow-in-the-dark type of party with some hands-on science activities! And then, dance the night away of course. As the nights are getting longer and colder, it’s the perfect time of year to glow.
-Jan. 27, 2017: Chinese New Year – Rooster
Enjoy the first Nature Nocturne event of 2017! Celebrate the year of the Rooster as you dance the night away. This Nature Nocturne event is being presented in partnership with Chinatown Remixed. Get your tickets early, as Nature Nocturne often sells out.
