You’ve probably seen VeloGO Bike Share’s bright green bicycles parked around Ottawa’s downtown core. This is Ottawa’s brand new bike sharing program!
Launched just this July, VeloGO offers 28 bike rack stations with a total fleet of 300 beach cruiser-style bikes, complete with a basket. And VeloGO is easy to use! Simply download the app and use your smartphone to find a bike station and reserve a bike for your desired time. You’ll find bike stations throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region at spots such as the University of Ottawa, Preston Street and near the Ottawa River, among others. With the app, you’ll be able to lock and unlock your bike as you go.

- VeloGO has an initial $5 CDN sign-up fee. Afterwards, you can use a bike for $2.50 CDN per half hour.
- You can sign-up for VeloGO on a monthly basis for $15 CDN for one hour of use each day or $20 CDN for two hours of daily use.
- The VeloGO bike is locked and unlocked through a simple four-digit pin number that can be entered on the back of the bike itself. It can be locked onto a VeloGO bike station or to any public bike rack.
