Fall Rhapsody at Gatineau Park

Fall Rhapsody is an annual event which will allow you to enjoy the fall colours. From October 1 to October 16, 2016, Fall Rhapsody in Gatineau Park will celebrate the magnificent display of colours with a varied program of family activities taking place at four different locations. Join them for a taste of farm-fresh products, see animal demonstrations, admire the works of talented local artisans, and enjoy a picnic in the great outdoors. Learn more about why leaves change colour in the fall, and take the opportunity to chat with their nature interpreters.

New this year is a free shuttle bus to various Lookouts departing from Camp Fortune

Weekends, October 1 to October 16, 2016, 11 am to 4 pm, every 10 minutes!

During the busier days of fall, a free shuttle service will be offered to facilitate access to Gatineau Park lookouts. The shuttle starting point is Camp Fortune. There are three stops along the way: Trail No. 1 and Keogan Shelter, Étienne-Brûlé Lookout, and Champlain Lookout.

All of these stops provide easy access to the Park’s trail network, where you can find a perfect spot for a picnic or a hike.

Parc Omega

Located approximately 1 hour from Montreal, Ottawa, Laurentian and Tremblant, Parc Omega lets you discover the wildlife of Canada such as moose, elk, bison, wolves and bears all within their natural environment.

Open year round, the park offer several activated for all ages such as animations, picnic areas, hiking trails and more!

Fall is in fact a wonderful season at Parc Oméga because it is mating season for deer. Their powerful and unusual calls and their fights make the forest alive.

New at the Park
Bear and squirrel cabin! A new type of lodging sees the day at Parc Omega. Both of these cabins can accommodate 4 people comfortably and feature unique sculptures on the walls.

VIA Rail

VIA Rail

Convenient, comfortable and affordable, Canada’s passenger train service—VIA Rail—is a great travel choice that offers numerous daily departures to Ottawa from all major cities in southern Ontario and southern Quebec. Ottawa’s Central Station is just minutes east of downtown, and a satellite VIA Rail station is located to the west of the city at Fallowfield-Barrhaven.

Come and stroll through a hauntingly beautiful and spellbinding outdoor exhibit of close to 7,000 hand-crafted pumpkins, set against a stirring night-time backdrop just inside the gates of historic Upper Canada Village. Marvel at rejuvenated and eclectic displays of scenes from exotic places and historic ages, meet up with forest animals and sea-born creatures, see story book heroes, mythical characters, cultural icons and more … all carved from pumpkins!

2016 promises an event rekindled with a number of EXCITING NEW EXHIBITS including; DRAGON’S LANTERN LAIR: A brand new dragon has taken over Pumpkinferno! Dare to pass through her mystical lantern lair … keep your eyes peeled for our newly hatched design.

Bring out the competitor in you with this brand new PUMPKIN TOSS game. Grab a pumpkin and challenge a friend! Who can reach 20 points first?
