NEW Bike & Bites Tour

Escape Bicycle Tours, in partnership with C’est Bon Cooking (3-hour guided bike and walking culinary tour of Ottawa) Experience the sights, scenes, smells and tastes of Ottawa in this fun and unique tour! The combined bike and food tour will take your clients to some of Ottawa’s major attractions through our city’s most scenic bicycle paths. They’ll also make a delicious discovery of some of Ottawa’s hidden gems and must-see eateries in the Glebe neighborhood, home to Lansdowne Park and the Ottawa Farmers Market.

The price includes bicycle, helmet, guides, water bottle and all food samples on the culinary walking tour.

WHAT’S NEW at Ottawa Tasting Tours

New restaurants are popping up in all different neighborhoods in Ottawa. It is almost impossible to try them all, until now. Ottawa Tasting Tours allows you to experience four different restaurants in one evening.

New restaurants have been added to their Byward Market tours, one being Feast + Revel with executive chef Stephan La Salle. Also included on the tour, sabering a bottle of champagne! Their newest offering, Byward Bites Tour, has clients popping into several different locations in and around the market, experiencing local food vendors and artisan shops.

Tour dates are every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Alternate dates can be arranged for larger groups. Visit for more information and to schedule a tour!

Parliament Hill

As of September 2018, the Parliament of Canada’s Centre Block will close to the public as the building will undergo a decade-long rehabilitation. Once the Centre Block closes, guided tours of Parliament will be offered at two new sites: West Block, the interim home of the House of Commons, and the Government Conference Centre, the interim home of the senate. Summer tours of East Block will continue.

Changing of the Guard

June 24- August 23, 2018

Daily at 10:00am on Parliament Hill. See a Canadian Tradition at its most colourful! The Ceremonial Guard brings stirring military drills and music at Parliament Hill. Come at 9:45am to learn more about the ceremony.

The ‘Northern Lights’ sound and light show on Parliament Hill is still planned to run in the summers of 2018 and 2019.

Ottawa Selfies

The giant OTTAWA sign that was part of Inspiration Village (an Ottawa 2017 initiative for Canada’s 150th) has found its permanent home in the ByWard Market neighborhood on York Street at Sussex Drive.

Your clients can also visit Sparks Street
(one block south of Parliament Hill) to check out another OTTAWA sign for a great photo-op where they can become one of the ‘T’s’ in OTTAWA.

Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit System

Ottawa’s largest infrastructure project since the building of the Rideau Canal, the Light Rail Transit System’s Confederation Line opens in November 2018, connecting 13 stations (including 3 underground in the downtown core)!
