Register your group below to unlock the VIP experience and begin earning points. You’ll accumulate points for every group and night you register throughout the year. The more you participate, the more rewards you'll receive!
Earning Points
- Earn 100 points per group registration
- Earn 10 points for each night’s stay by the registered group.
- In addition to standard points, you can earn 10 promotional bonus points for each new group registration after your first group registration. These promotional bonus points can only be earned for a limited time.
- To earn points, registered groups must stay at an Ottawa Tourism member accommodation
- Points are accumulative and can be redeemed at any time
- Points expire after 12 months of no activity (earning or redeeming), or if the program concludes
Visitor Inspiration Program Points System
*Points are awarded for any number of groups registered. This table shows examples for the first three groups.
Examples of Points Earned
- For example, Tour Operator ABC registers their first group with a two-night stay in Ottawa. They will receive 100 points for the first group registration and 20 points for two nights = 120 points total
- If the same Tour Operator ABC registers a second group with a three-night stay they will receive 100 points for the second group registration, 10 launch promotional bonus points for having a second group, and 30 points for three nights = 140 points total
- If the same Tour Operator ABC registers a third group with a one-night stay they will receive 100 points for the third group registration, 20 launch promotional bonus points for having a third group, and 10 points for one night = 130 points total
Redeeming Points
Redeem points for various rewards like discount coupons, personal trips to Ottawa, Ottawa Tourism items or Visit Ottawa Passes.
Points will be credited one week after the group leaves Ottawa.
Step 1: Register Your Tour
Register your upcoming tour to Ottawa. Accept the Terms and Conditions to proceed.
Step 2: Begin Collecting VIP Points
Upon registration you'll receive a confirmation email. As a VIP guest, you will begin earning points after your first group registration.
